State Park Touring Competition
1st Annual Tennessee Touring Completion
Tennessee has 53 state parks filled with beauty and veriety that is unmatched anywhere else. How many have you visited? Well this year is the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Tennessee state parks in 1937. What a great time to start a new chapter riding program that focuses on these state treasures. We are starting up the Ring of Fire Tennessee Touring Competition for 2012, which will focus on visiting the state parks both as part of chapter rides and on your own, getting a qualifying picture, and putting them into an album to be turned in at the end of the year.
Click here for an example of a qualifying and non-qualifying picture.
Click here to view, print, or download the entry form.
The competition will allow those who can't consistently ride on Saturday to participate in a chapter competition by riding when they can. We will visit many of the parks through chapter rides and the rally, but it is likely that the winner will do some visiting on their own as well. The plan is to have a plaque created and have the touring competition winner's name added to the plaque each year and displayed in the dealership.

Dinner Rides
Our dinner rides begin on the first Tuesday in April and go through the last Tuesday in October. The dinner rides are held every Tuesday Night, Rain
or Shine. We meet at Boswells Ring of Fire and ride from there at 6:30 p.m. to a different restaurant
each week. If you are new to the group or have never attended a dinner ride, you are missing a real treat.
The size of the group changes from week to week but, we always have a good crowd. Each week a
different person leads the ride and we take the most scenic route available. I can't stress enough
how much fun these rides are. It is also a great way to get to know others within the group because it
is a smaller group than the big ride events on the weekend. Remember, if it rains, come on
anyway and we will head out in cars. Plan to attend a dinner ride this year and
I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

them to obtain the training needed to secure employment
and eventually provide for their families. |
